Once again the top professional and amateur snocross racers from around the northeast will converge on the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Malone on Jan. 5-6, 2008, for the 5th Annual Northeast Snocross Challenge, sanctioned by Rock Maple Racing (RMR).

These exciting snocross races have drawn thousands of enthusiastic fans who witnessed some of the most intense competition on the entire schedule. With a big crowd, a great track and points on the line, racers in every division will be focused on doing their very best.

See riders like multi-time and defending RMR Pro champion Jason Boron, 2004 champion Danny Poirier, Whitehall native C.W. Sirjane and others battle ski-to-ski for trophies and valuable points as they chase down the coveted RMR championships.

The 2007-08 season promises to be one of the best in RMR's history for a number of reasons. All-new race sleds from two of the big three manufacturers have teams excited as they prepare for another season. Ski-doo is boasting of its ultra-light MXZ XP, while Arctic Cat has developed a new-from-the-ground-up sled that should put them on equal footing.

Now consider the fact the 440cc powerplant previously utilized in the Stock classes has been replaced by a more muscle-bound 600cc engine, and you can easily understand the excitement. Add a high horsepower modified engine for the Open classes (Pro & Semi-Pro only), and you've got a recipe for some incredible racing.

Snocross is a form of snowmobile racing that closely resembles motocross - yet it's on snow. There are three series within the RMR umbrella; a 10-race Central series that competes at sites in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and New York; a five-race East series which runs in combination with Central series events in Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire, and a 10-race West series that competes in New York and Pennsylvania.

Don't miss the 5th Annual Northeast Snocross Challenge, the largest winter-time motorsports event in the region!
